'A Christian Principled Facility'

My name is Ann Oak.  My husband Al and I own and operate Autumn Oaks.  Our goal is to maintain a home-like atmosphere for our residents.  Leaving home is a traumatic move for most of them and we want them to be as comfortable as possible.  As owner/administrator, I take a hands-on approach to all aspects of our resident's care.  Most days you will find me at the home doing activities, cooking, giving nursing care, or (ugh!) buried under piles of paperwork.  I try to remain active in the community and regularly visit friends and supporters of Autumn Oaks.

You will find Al repairing, remodeling, waxing floors or any of the other hundreds of things that go with maintaining the home.  You may even find him chatting with the residents and taking the "fellows" for a tour of his handiwork.  In his "spare" time he also keeps up with the business of payroll, billing and paying bills. 

This summer Al put in a vegetable garden for the residents.  It was not at all unusual to find ladies snapping beans as well as an occasional tomato in a window sill.  Everyone enjoyed the fresh produce at meal time.
